My interest in offshore radio began in 1964 when Radio Caroline commenced broadcasting from 4 miles off the Essex coast.
From around 1985 my interest increased with involvement in boat trips out to the Ross Revenge on a weekly basis, weather permitting, as a courier for the Caroline Movement.
After the grounding of the ship on the Goodwin Sands I spent a considerable amount of time looking after the requirements of the crew and the need to repair the vessel to move it out of Dover harbour to cheaper moorings.
My participation ended in 1995.
